Is Quad City Killers really a family-friendly game?

Of course. We recommend 13 and up. While there is a violent component to the game (you are a Serial Killer after all), there is very little gore (similar to a PG13 movie). QCK was created with good humor with some tongue-in-cheek subtext for good measure.

How long does QCK take to learn?

It takes about 5-10 min to learn the basic rules. Let's be honest, we have more fun learning as we play. What kind of Serial Killer would you be if you waited until you were perfect?

How many people can play and what is the average time of play?

Quad City Killers can be played with 2 - 6 Killers. Each game can take 1 - 3 hours (the more people playing, the longer the game with take).

How NSFW are the NSFW cards?

We like to think they land somewhere between PG13 and NC17. You know, naughty, but not horrible.

Am I allowed to actually kill people?

Nope. Uhm ... wait. Who is this? How did you get our number? Prank Caller! PRANK CALLER!

Are the expansions stand-alone games?

Nope! You'll need the Quad City Killers board game (Kickstarter or Original Edition) to play with any expansions.

Is there a Solo-Play Mode?

Yes, the instructions are in the back of Rulebook.

Can I use my own rules?

Of course! We love learning how others interpret the rules. It's a great way to enhance your murdery experience.

How does the personal killer board work?

Once you purchase a PKB, we will send out a survey with all of the questions you'll need to answer. Some of the questions, like height, age, etc. you will fill out. Some of the info, like story, arrest record, psych report, etc. we will create based on some of the answers you give.There will be a place for you to suggest details. However, we reserve the right to make adjustments to make sure everything fits the theme and all of the game mechanics work properly.

Can I purchase more than one Personalized Killer Board?

Absolutely.

I need a replacement card or game component. Can I get one?

Yup! Send an email to us@barelysuitable.com with a description of your damaged/lost card or component along with your mailing address, and we’ll replace it.

What’s the difference between the game board and the old school map?

We got a lot of feedback on this from the first campaign and have redesigned our map into a folding game board. Check out the first post update for the video of our prototype ...

Are translated versions of your games available?
